Counselors are dedicated to helping all students develop skills in the areas of self knowledge, interpersonal relationships, educational and occupational exploration, career planning, post secondary education planning, scholarship and financial aid advisement. Counselors assist students in developing a plan for their education and future career. Students are assigned counselors alphabetically according to their last name.

Mental Health Counseling

Odyssey House has partnered with East High School and the school district to provide mental health services to students. Weekly individual therapy sessions are provided at the school for students. Odyssey House accepts all types of insurance, including Medicaid. There is no out-of-pocket cost to the student's family, even if their insurance usually requires a copay, or if the student doesn’t have health insurance. This service is for students that are interested in therapy to assist in managing mental health or substance use concerns. To refer a student to this service, please fill out this referral form .

PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered in October 2025 for registered students. Students can register by signing up in the library with our testing coordinator, Laura Cheney . Students taking the test should meet promptly at 8:45am on the day of the test in the computer lab with a school or government-issued ID , an approved calculator , and plan on being there until about 12:45pm .

PSAT Student Guides and PRACTICE TESTS can be found here!

Why take the PSAT/NMSQT? The PSAT/NMSQT stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which students take as a sophomore or junior. High enough marks, as a Junior , on the PSAT/NMSQT are what qualifies students for the National Merit Scholarship.
